George Negrescu, Co-Founder and Principal
George Negrescu brings over 15 years of expertise in technology and infrastructure. In the early stages of his career, he gained invaluable experience in project management, business development, and strategic planning. While leading technology initiatives at firms like KPMG and City Fibre, he managed technology bids and projects worth up to £2.1 billion. Other highlights include £43 mil in grants (2023) and managing operational aspects and structuring of a £70 mil merger (2016).
As the Managing Director of his consulting firm GBC, George transformed it into a leading fibre construction company. For clients such as Virgin Media and BT, GBC delivered over 15,000 FTTP This hands-on experience solidified his practical understanding of construction law and contracts, including NEC3.
Currently, as Co-Founder and Principal of 8Blox, the renewables advisory outfit, George oversees renewable infrastructure projects, including photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Specialisms include M&A deal structuring, grant funding and construction management.
In addition to his professional achievements, George is dedicated to community involvement and professional development. He actively participates in industry conferences and seminars, sharing his expertise and insights on the future of renewable infrastructure and technology integration.
Cosmin Mocanu, Principal
Cosmin Mocanu is a highly awarded lawyer, specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), particularly in acquisitions and intra-group mergers, Commercial Contract law, Employment law, and a wide variety of Dispute Resolution projects.
His track record includes over 50 awards out of which the most notable are:

Razvan Radulescu, Principal
Razvan Radulescu is a distinguished veteran in the energy industry, boasting over 20 years of expertise in delivering technology projects for clients across Germany, China, and Romania. His innovative contributions to the sector include the development and patenting of software components for WeBus, an energy trading software. WeBus is recognized as the only system fully compliant with the standards set by ANRE, the Romanian Energy Standards Organization.
As a strategic leader, Razvan runs and operates a joint venture partnership providing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services for 22 solar parks in Romania. His hands-on experience and deep understanding of the energy market have enabled him to secure over EUR 10 million in EU grant funding for his clients since 2020, driving significant advancements in renewable energy projects.
In his role as Principal of 8Blox, the renewable infrastructure market advisory, Razvan oversees the development and management of photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and other critical infrastructure projects. His specialisms include market feasibility studies, grant funding, asset management and revenue maximisation.
He is a regular speaker at industry events, tackling some of the most complex technical case studies in the renewables market.
